The arrival of global economic downturn resulted in wide spread job losses and affected almost every industry. But one thing should be noted that during the recession phase, when the whole world was dealing with predicaments like job losses and cost cutting techniques, India stood high with promising horizons for job seekers.
The Job vacancies in India primarily owe its existence to the myriad of industries in India including the public and private ones. The sectors which were virtually untouched by economic degradation were paramilitary or Defense sector, banking sector, govt. organizations like the railways etc. the defense sector has jobs for every educational qualifications ranging from constables to majors.
Apart from that banking institutions have been recruiting clerks, probationary officers, technicians etc on a fairly regular basis. The heavy potential of India to absorb people from walks of life makes it a prospective job destination. Folks need to understand that a Job vacancy in India or Job opening in India should not be considered easy as the level of competition is utterly huge. It is advisable for students to try for jobs in different sectors rather than sticking to one niche sector.
The presence of a lot of native and MNCs in the Information Technology sector has also intensified the availability of jobs in India. The growing industries like the tourism, teaching, hotel, advertising and banking sector promises extensive Job vacancies in India. Jobs in railways also require persons from different educational back grounds to fill up position such as TTEs, Engine Drivers, Technicians and administrative staff etc.
